Elgi electric, a part of the Elgi group, now percents 'EC Series' of 3 phase energy efficient series has been designed and engineered in compliance with the latest technical knowledge and manufacturing processes. The AC Motors are manufactured in their most modern factory at Pollachi in Tamilnadu.

Rated Power Output
The rated outputs of EC Series Motors are based on continuous running duty SI with an ambient temperature non exceeding 45 Deg C, an attitude not exceeding 1000 M above mean sea level and relative humidity of upto 100%.

Mounting Arrangement
The Standard motors are deigned for foot mounting (B3). These are also suitable for B6. B7, B8, V5 and V6 mounting without any change. Motors can also be supplied in flange mounting (B5 & B14).
The spacious terminal box can be located on LHS or RHS looking from the drive end. Terminals of accessories, if required, such as space heaters and thermistors can be accommodated in the main terminal box itself.
Method of Cooling
The motors are cooled by an external fan conforming to IC 0141 as per IS 8362. Fans of all motors are bi-directional.

Finish
All exposed surfaces are cleaned and sprayed with corrosion inhibiting coating. The motors are epoxy painted as a standard execution. All the exposed surface of motor components are cleaned and suitable treated to withstand corrosion and then painted with epoxy based paint.
